About the Volunteer Staff

Jen Rockey

Section Chair | jen@apos50.org / section.50.chair@apo.org

Jen Rockey receivFeatured imageed her Bachelor’s degree in history and English literature from Eureka College in 2010; at the time of her graduation, there was no chapter of Alpha Phi Omega on the Eureka College campus. Luckily for her, though, an interest group was formed the next year, and Jen soon found herself becoming more and more involved as an advisor, and then Advisory Chair, as the effort went from interest group, to petitioning group, to chapter. For her service as advisor to the Alpha Eta Lambda chapter, Jen was awarded the chapter Distinguished Service Key in spring 2014. Jen is grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Section 50 Chair, as well as her past tenure as advisor for the Alpha Eta Lambda chapter at Eureka College.

Outside of APO, Jen is the Access Services Coordinator/Circulation Supervisor at Melick Library, Eureka College. She lives in Peoria with her husband, Jason, and their two cats, Bowser and Chowder. Jen serves on several work-related committees and is the current president of the Eureka College Women’s Board. When not thinking about work or APO, Jen likes to read, binge on Netflix, and play video games.

Celinda Davis

Service/Brotherhood Programming Chair | celinda@apos50.org

Featured imageCelinda Davis is an alum of Alpha Beta Gamma chapter at Knox College, where she received her Bachelor’s in History in 2015. During her four years as an active member, she served as Secretary, President, and Formal Chair. She also served on a number of committees, including Blood Drive and Alumni Relations. She attended the Section 47/50/51 conference all four years, and was also able to attend both the Region VI conference in 2013 and the National Convention in 2014. She also attended Membership University while serving as her chapter’s president. She has won Brother of the Year for Section 47 and Outstanding Senior of her chapter, and is a lifetime member (thanks to the generosity of her chapter). Her greatest joy has been being the big (and borderline pseudo mom) for four amazing littles.

Celinda is a teacher at a Montessori school in Champaign. When she is not caught in the whirlwind of community service or educating the future, she can usually be found reading, taking unnecessary naps, riding her bike, or cuddling her cat.

Paris Barnes
Advisor Relations Chair | advisor@apos50.org

Paris Barnes joined the Alpha Phi Omega-Eta Epsilon (APO-HE) chapter at Millikin University as an advisor during the Fall 2006 semester. He was not a member of Alpha Phi Omega as an undergraduate, but APO-HE adopted him as one of their faculty advisors. Since then, Paris has served as an active advisor for 6.5 years, completed all but Explore and Serve of the APO LEADS Courses, and became a Life Member. Paris was honored with the Chapter Distinguished Service Key during the Spring 2014 semester and received the Section 50 Advisor of the Year twice. He served as the Section 50 Advisory Relations Chair for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 academic years before filling the Section 50 Finance Chair position for one year. He currently serves as the Section 50 Advisor Relations Chair and Region VI Advisor Development Chair.

Paris is currently an Associate Professor and Chair of the Chemistry Department at Millikin.  When he’s not at school, Paris enjoys spending time with his wife Tracy, listening to 90’s alt rock music, going to professional wrestling shows, traveling to any place there’s a beach, and reading.

Jono Stears
Alumni Relations Chair | jono@apos50.org

Jonathan “Jono” Stears is an alum of Eta chapter at Northern Illinois University where he received his degree in Organizational Management.  During his first semester as an active member within Eta, Jono served as Fundraising Coordinator that oversaw the annual Duck Race within the DeKalb community.  The funds raised were used to send children to MDA summer camp.  Since graduating, he has been involved in various APO alumni groups within the Chicagoland and Central Illinois regions.

Jono currently lives in Minonk with his wife Kailynne and their two dogs.  He enjoys spending time on home projects with his wife, taking the dogs on a walk, and watching movies.  Jono and Kailynne first met while they were members of APO.

Kelli Breymeyer
Awards Chair | kelli@apos50.org

Kelli Breymeyer is an alum of Alpha Zeta Omega chapter at Parkland College in Champaign, IL. She petitioned with the organization in Spring ’10, when it was still a petitioning group. She served as Service VP in Fall ’10 and President in Spring ’11. She was awarded Outstanding New Member, an Outstanding Service Certificate, and a chapter Distinguished Service Key during her time at Parkland. She also had an active role filling out paperwork for the soon-to-be chapter’s charter and helped organize the chartering ceremony (with a lot of help). Kelli is a Life Member and is actively trying to seek out APO alumni at her new school.
