Alpha Phi Omega is a national, coed service fraternity that has set the standard for college campus-based volunteerism since 1925. We have active chapters on over 350 campuses, and we strive to help each individual member develop leadership skills, experience friendship on many levels, and provide service to others.

About Section 50
Section 50 was formally established in 2003 when the former Section 48 split into the current Sections 47, 50, and 51. Section 50 encompasses East Central Illinois and includes over 1000 students in eight chapters.

March 30, 1947 — Delta Psi chapter charters at Eastern Illinois University
May 16, 1948 — Zeta Alpha chapter charters at Bradley University
February 13, 1949 — Eta Epsilon chapter charters at Millikin University
May 28, 1949 — Theta Epsilon chapter charters at Illinois State University
April 30, 1976 — Omega Epsilon chapter charters at Illinois Wesleyan University
1982 — Eta Epsilon chapter re-charters at Millikin University
April 12, 2003 — Section 50 formally established from the split of Section 48
February 5, 2011 — Alpha Zeta Omega chapter charters at Parkland College
February 8, 2014 — Alpha Eta Lambda chapter charters at Eureka College
